I am an experienced safeguarding and quality assurance professional with over two decades of work across children’s social care and more than 18 years in managerial roles. My experience spans all areas of children’s services, with particular expertise in child protection, safeguarding and service improvement.
I have held Service Manager roles within Quality Assurance and the Reviewing Services, LADO, Child Protection Chairing and Independent Reviewing. I have also managed multi agency teams and worked extensively in areas such as inspection readiness and SEND. These roles have given me a deep understanding of systems, practice and people, along with a strong commitment promoting integrity, fairness and solution focused leadership..

Alongside investigations and reviews, I offer coaching and improvement consultancy to help teams and leaders strengthen professional confidence, reflective practice, and organisational culture. Through bespoke workshops, supervision, and one-to-one guidance, I support professionals to build resilience, improve practice, and sustain high-quality safeguarding standards.
As an Independent Investigating Officer, I conduct thorough, fair, and timely investigations into statutory complaints under the Children Act 1989. My approach ensures that every complaint is handled with sensitivity, transparency, and professionalism. Reports are written to a high analytical standard, offering balanced findings, clear recommendations, and a focus on learning and service improvement.
In the role of Independent Person, I provide impartial oversight throughout the statutory complaints process, ensuring fairness and accountability are upheld.
